The Azores are renowned for excellent blue marlin fishing and are considered by many as a home of the giants. The pristine waters of the Azores with their beautiful atlantic island seascapes are the ultimate destination in search of a fishing experience of a lifetime.

Azores. The Archipelago of the Azores is composed of nine volcanic islands situated in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. The Portuguese Azores archipelago is located about 1500 km (930 miles) west from Lisbon and about 3900 km (2400 miles) east from the east coast of North America. With its mild climate and out standing natural beauty it make the perfect place to relax away for the faster paces of life elsewhere. Infamous for its friendly locals and great food and drink, you can be assure that you will receive a warm welcome on the islands. The local food and drinks are fantastic and reasonably priced too. Food is delicious and has a selection that caters for most of taste buds.

Big Game Fishing. Our big game target species are mainly blue marlin, white marlin, spearfish and tuna. The giant blue marlin is the one every angler dreams of and Azores has become world known for the size and quality of its blue marlin. From novice to expert you can experience the fishing trip of a lifetime. We welcome all levels of experience from beginners to experts. Our crew will guide the novice through all the procedures involved. Best big game fishing months in Azores are July, August and September. Fishing day begins at 9 in the morning and ends usual at 19 in the evening.

Boats and Gear. At all times you can be assured of your safety and comfort whilst aboard our boats. They are fully equipped with all the fishing, electronics and safety equipments and are also insured and licensed. We use only the finest and highest quality equipments and lures. The Brasilia boat is a Blackwatch 40' and is powered by twin 450 hp Cummins engines. It should be noted that for a 40' game fishing boat she has an absolutely huge cockpit that ads comfort to the trips. Xácara - 36’ Hatteras powered by twin 300 hp Cummins B-series motors. Murray Bro’s chair and one-piece riggers by Rupp. The Xacara has gained worldwide recognition for its fishing exploits in the Azores and is the boat that caught the current world record blue marlin on 80lb line. The Makaira boat is a Merryfisher 30', and is powered by a twin 210 hp Cummins engines. Both boats have a large deck area which makes them the ideal boats for big game fishing. The big game fishing boats Brasilia and Makaira are based in Horta Marina in Faial island.

Travel Arrangements. Fishing trips to Azores will be arranged throughout the season and the packages can be booked according to the client’s preferred dates subject to availability. Anglers take a flight to Faial, Azores and continue by taxi to the hotel.
