| Fly fishing for seatrout on
famous Em River in Southern Sweden. Fishmaster arranges hosted
fly fishing trips to
the Em River in spring March-April. River Em is a world famous seatrout river and in this beautiful river they
can be very big, several world record seatrout has been caught
from Em river. The
fishing guide will be Jouni Rauha.
Em River. Em is one of the best seatrout rivers in Sweden
and flows into the Baltic sea in Southeastern coast close to
Kalmar town. Em is
famous for its big size seatrout, the biggest are over 10
kilos and big salmon, biggest salmon are over 20 kilos. The best
spring fishing season is from mid March until the end of April.
Fly fishing. We have a 7 km long
private beat to fish on this beautiful and famous river. The
Em river averages about 40 yards in width and the pools vary
from 6 feet to 10 feet in depth.
The beat offers great variety of fishing and is excellent fly
water including fast rapids and runs and deep holding pools. The beat suits
very well for fly
fishing and there is a chance for very big
seatrout and salmon.
Fly Fishing Tackle.
For fly fishing for
seatrout on Em
river
we recommend 12-15' feet double handed rods for lines #8-11 and
suitable fly reels with good quality brakes. Sink tip, intermediate,
sink 1/2, sink 2/4 or sink 4/5 shooting heads are most used fly lines
depending of water level and temperature.
Flies. Good fly patterns for Em
river are tube flies with 5-8 cm wing for example Willie Gunn, Thunder & Lightning, Garry, Mickey Finn and Phatagorva.
Accomodation for fishermen is in
fishing cabin close the river. There is a kitchen,
toilet, shower. The guests will cook together their meals in the cabin.
Travel Arrangements. Fishing trips
to Em river are hosted. Anglers will take flight or car transport to
Em. Anglers will meet host Jouni Rauha from Fishmaster at Em.
