The Glomma fly fishing lodge offers you a
good quality accomodation and top class fly
fishing beat for grayling and trout in a pristine and beautiful
Norwegian highland scenery. The lodge is located approx 10 km
southwest from small Tolga town. Fly Fishing.
The Glomma river suits well for fly fishing, this river is good
natural living place of brown trout and grayling.
The fly fishing beat of nine kilometres is situated on the
upper part of Glomma river and is fly
fishing only,
the
river-landscape is varied and interesting. It has lots of soft rapids with some quiet areas and
pools. All in all this is among the very best the river Glomma
can offer the fly-fishing enthusiast. The dominant specie is
grayling, but it is not infrequent to get big trout up to 4 kg.
It is not uncommon to find grayling up to 1 kilo.
The idea is to preserve this quality fishing river for
the future. Minimum size for grayling and trout is 35 cm and maximum size is
40 cm the bag limit
is 1 fish per day.
Fly Fishing Tackle.
We suggest for fly fishing in Glomma single handed fly rods
rods
of 8-9 feet and 4-6 weight, these will cover most needs.
Floating WF lines in
greys, dull greens are best as bright coloured lines will spook
the fish.
Flies. Nymfs: Montana, Woolly Worm, Hare´s
Ear, Bead Head Prince, Pheasant tail. Streamers: Woolly Bugger, Marabou Muddler, Matuka.
Dry flies: Adams, Klinkhammer.
Accomodation.
The
fly fishing lodge is located in a beautiful place by the Glomma
river and offers the luxury well-equipped Blacksmiths house for 4-5 persons.
Travel arrangements. Fly fishing trips
to Glomma will be
arranged throughout the fishing season and the packages can be booked
according to the client’s preferred dates subject to availability. The customers
will take care of transports to fishing place and back
by themselves, there is a good road connections to
Glomma river.
