| Fishing trips to Ibera
Marslands, Corrientes province in Northeastern Argentina.
Fly fishing or spin fishing for golden dorado.
The "Marshland Ibera", one of the most fascinating wetlands in
the world, 3.500.000 acres of the pure and clear water,
plentiful of wildlife, hundreds of different kinds of birds and
wild animal, the less explored area in Argentina with primitive
tribes of exotic indians.
Fly Fishing, Spin Fishing. Here we catch the most
tearsome fish; golden dorado
in the Corrientes province. Capitá Miní lodge, is situated
within the Iberá Marshland National Reserve, where the waters
are crystal clear the whole year through. Therefore the dorados
have a high pigmentation with a golden yellow colour with a
brilliant black contrast. Fishing will be done by casting from
the boat by using fly fishing or spin fishing gear and there is
two fishermen per boat and local guide.
Fly fishing
tackle.
Fly
rods: 9ft, 5-8 weight. Reel with a good drag system, holding at
least 100 yards of 20-pound test backing. Lines: WF floating or
sink tip lines. Leaders with strong butts to turn big flies, 16-pound
test tippets with 20 cm of 20-pound test steel wire.
Flies.
Sizes 2/0 and 3/0, Deceiver patterns. Also Poppers and divers
with muddler head, weighted. Colours: black, black/red or black
and yellow, chartreuse, white and yellow.
Spin fishing tackle. Light
or medium spinning rods 6-8 ft, reel with a good drag system,
holding at least 100 yards of 15-20 pound test monofilament
line. Wire leaders. Wobblers like Rapala, Storm in bright
colours will work fine.
General equipment.
Lightweight shirts and pants, wide brimmed hat or cap, a lightweight waterproof jacket,
a polar fleece sweatshirt, an extra pair of sandals or sneakers,
polarized sunglasses, sunblock, lip protector.
Accomodation.
Accommodation in
Capitá Miní lodge,
double bedroom with shower. All delicious meals are included.
Travel Arrangements.
Fishing trips to Ibera will be arranged throughout the fishing season and the
packages can be booked according to the client’s preferred dates
subject to availability.
Customers take interational flight to Buenos Aires and continue
there by bus. The guide will
pick up the customers from Mercedes bus station by car. After
fishing trip the guide will take the anglers back to Mercedes.
