hosted and guided fishing trips to the river Ljungan in Middle-Sweden.
Fly fishing or spin fishing for seatrout in Ljungan river in
middle Sweden. Ljungan is one of the best seatrout rivers in
Sweden and the best time for this kind of fishing is from mid
April to late May and again from mid September to mid October. There
is a Fishmaster host and fishing guide. There is space for maximum 4 rods for every
trip. Fly Fishing,
Spin fishing. The river is
very beautiful and suits very well for fly fishing and spin fishing. The average
weight for seatrout in this river is about 2 kg but every year much
bigger seatrout will be caught, up to 10 kg. We fish on the
lower part of the river and have 7,5 kilometres long beat. We fish 4 days and fishing will be done
with double handed fly rods or with spinning rods.
Fishing Tackle.
For fly fishing for
seatrout on Ljungan we recommend 12-15 ' foot double handed rods for lines #8-11 and
suitable fly reels with good quality brakes. Sink tip, Intermediate or
different sinking shooting heads are most used fly lines
depending of water level and temperature. Spin
fishing rods should be long handled and medium-heavy action with
plenty of power for big fish and should be recommended for 1-2 oz lures.
Flies, Spoons. Good fly
patterns for Ljungan: Thunder & Lightning, Garry, Dog, Sillen,
Mickey Finn, Phatagorva and Pupujussi. Good spoons are Toby,
Salamander, Krocodile, colours: silver, orange.
Accomodation is in fishing cottage
on the riverbank of Ljungan. There is electricitity,
refrigerator-freezer, sauna and shower.
Travel Arrangements. These trips are
always hosted trips. Anglers will
first take flight to Sundsvall. At the airport anglers will meet host
from Fishmaster and then continue to Ljungan river by car, it is only about
half an hours drive. During the fishing week guide will take care of all car
transports and after fishing week he will give the customers a ride back to
airport.
