Guided fly fishing and spin fishing trips to the river Merikarvia in Western
Finland. Merikarvia river is one of the best seatrout and
rainbow trout rivers in Finland. During the last years the
salmon stock has recovered to a reasonable level too. The river
is located in Western Finland approx 180 km north from Turku and
suits very well for flyfishing. The fishing guide will be the
guide of Fishmaster company. Fly rods,
reels and lines and waders can be borrowed during the trips. If
needed, we can pick you up from your hotel and take back after
the fishing day.
During these trips we can also give fly
casting instruction if needed. The guide will teach for example how to cast single and double spey cast in
different fishing situations. Also other casts and fishing techniques will be taught
and practised if needed. All
teaching is included in the price and will be done by practical fishing on this beatiful river.
Fly Fishing, Spin Fishing. We will fish on the
lower part of the Merikarvia River and have 12 km variable and beautiful river
to fish. The fishing is at its best during
April-May in spring and September, October and November in autumn. Thus we
have very good chances for good fishing. The fishing will be done from riverbank
or by wading.
Accomodation.
As an alternative to one day trip, you might wish to stay one
or several more fishing days. We offer accommodation in a nice
cabin by the river.
Travel arrangements. Trips will be
arranged throughout the fishing season and the packages can be booked
according to the client’s preferred dates subject to availability. The
fishing trips starts at Turku and the fishing guide
will pick you up for example at your hotel at 6.00. Breakfast at
Merikarvia at 8.00. We start fishing
at 9.00. We have a lunch break at 12. We will fish until 16
and drive back to Turku and will be there around 18.
