Fly Fishing. The Spanish Pyrenees rivers are beatiful alpine rivers and flow throgh grand scenery and suits well for fly fishing. The water in these rivers is gin clear with some beautiful greenish tone. These rivers are good natural living places of brown trout, rainbow trout and brook trout. The river-landscape is extremely beautiful, varied and interesting. The rivers have lots of soft rapids with some slower areas and pools. The structure of the river bottom makes it easy to wade on most places. We practise strict catch and releace fly fishing policy.

Fly Fishing Tackle. We suggest for fly fishing in Spain single handed fly rods rods of 8-9 feet and 4-6 weight, these will cover most needs. Floating lines of DT or WF in greys, dull greens are best as bright coloured lines will spook the fish.

Flies. Nymfs: Montana, Woolly Worm, Hare´s Ear, Bead Head Prince, Pheasant tail. Streamers: Wooly Bugger, Marabou Muddler, Matuka. Dry flies: Adams, Klinkhammer.

Season. Exclusive fishing packages in Sta Cilia lodge will be arranged during only the best season for dry fly and high mountain fishing from 15th June until 31st August. La Ribagorza Lodge (Aren) is open permanently with guiding services in Aragon, Cataluna and Andorra from 1st March to 30th November. From December to February we offer a selection of spots for winter fishing for browns and rainbows.

Accomodation. The accomodation for fishermen will be in nice fishing lodge close the river and fishing places. Double bedroom and all delicious meals are included in price.

Travel arrangements. Fly fishing trips to Spain, Pyrenees will be arranged throughout the fishing season and the packages can be booked according to the client’s preferred dates subject to availability. Anglers will take a flight to Spain, Pamplona (Sta Cilia) or Barcelona (Aren) and meet guide at the airport and continue with guide's car to destination. The fishing guide will take care of all car transports during the week.
