Pedro, Parana river in Argentina, close to Buenos Aires.
Enjoy the incomparable experience of fly fishing dorado, surrounded by a unique landscape. Located
very close to Buenos Aires (a 1 hour and a half drive). Golden
dorado is often called 'the tiger of Parana' and the tararira is
one of the most aggressive game fish when charging the fly.
This is
an ideal program for businessmen or traveller staying at Buenos
Aires and for all those seeking new adventures and destinations.
Fly fishing season and nature.
The best season for this excellent golden dorado fly fishing is from
October to April.
San Pedro consists of a delta where hundreds of streams and
channels get together.
Besides good fishing, great scenery and different animal species
that can be seen will make this trip unforgettable.
Fly fishing
tackle.
Rods: 9ft, 5 and 7weight. 3-or 4- piece. Reels with a good drag system, holding at
least 80 yards of 20-pound test backing. Lines: WF floating line
and sinking shootings Teeny T-200. Leaders for 5- to 7-foot
floating lines with strong butts to turn big flies, 16-pound
test tippets with 20 cm of 20-pound test steel wire.
Accesories: tweezers, hook sharpener, nippers etc.
Flies.
Sizes 2/0 and 3/0, Deceiver patterns. Also Poppers and divers
with muddler head, weighted. Colours: black, black/red or black
and yellow, chartreuse, white and yellow.
General Equipment.
Lightweight shirts and pants (Exofficio, Patagonia, Columbia,
etc), wide brimmed hat or cap, a lightweight waterproof jacket,
a polar fleece sweatshirt, an extra pair of sandals or sneakers,
polarized sunglasses, sunblock, lip protector.
Accomodation.
As a complement to the daily program, you might wish to stay one
more day. We offer accommodation in a ranch in San Pedro for one
night, with the typical amenities of the area, a delicious
“asado” served with Argentinian wines and breakfast.
Travel Arrangements.
Fishing trips to San Pedro will be arranged throughout the fishing season and the
packages can be booked according to the client’s preferred dates
subject to availability.
Customers take a flight to Buenos Aires. The guide will be
pick up the customer from Hotel. After
fishing day the guide will take the angler back to Hotel.
